Andrea's crew are its owners, Ann and Richard, who are a British husband and wife team with many years sailing experience. They are both equally qualified and have full commercial endorsement of their “Yachtmaster Ocean” certificates from the UK Maritime Coastguard Authority (MCA).This qualifies them to sail Andrea, with clients aboard, in any sea area including ocean passages.

Ann and Richard are outgoing, fun people with a passion for sailing and an enthusiasm for entertaining. After they resigned from their day jobs they set about turning the dream of skipper chartering their own boat into a reality. Richard's career started in banking, moved into sales and marketing before starting his own computer software business in 1987. The company flourished and was sold to its management team. Ann's career was in corporate finance. Initially in local government then moving to a commercial environment and juggling the care of two daughters who have now flown the nest. Ann is an excellent cook, equally at home producing multi-course formal meals or a quick mouth watering snack from the simplest of ingredients. Richard is also an accomplished cook but tends to do what Ann tells him to do in the galley.

They have sailed in many areas of the world both as guests and as skippers. They are very familiar with all the charter areas that Andrea will be sailing so guests may rely on good advice as to where to go and what to see. Deserted bays to top up the tan, relax and enjoy the sun's warmth. Over previous years they have gained experience of the Mediterranean countries, the Atlantic Islands, the Caribbean and the Far East. They hope to be able to sail the Pacific at some time in the future from Panama to Australia. 2006 was spent cruising from the Adriatic to the Aegean; 2007 saw Andrea crusing in the Dodeconese from Samos to Rhodes and beyond, soaking up the sun, enjoying the company of their guests and taking in the sites of the ancient world.

Ann and Richard like to properly understand what their guest want from their holiday and then make sure that it is achieved. They have a very relaxed lifestyle that they will enjoy sharing with you..
